I have been slaying lashes since 2018.

Tatiana here creates elaborate works of art for nail design.

She has been in the industry since 2014.

The two of us make up Haven Studio!

FAQs

how did haven studio come to be?

Haven Studio was born out of a need to truly cater to clientele. I hated working in salons where it felt like they didn’t care about the client experience at all.

I challenged that mentality and stuck out like a sore thumb!

So I created my own haven to curate an ambience so welcoming and cozy that you feel treasured and special.

HOW DID YOU AND TATIANA MEET?

Instead of 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon, it’s 3 degrees of Phuong Duong.

Chloe, my tattoo artist, told me she had a sister who did nails and she really wanted to focus on nail art.

She said she was so cool, funny and talented and I figured it was a sibling speaking fondly of their little sister-boy was I wrong.

Tatiana is all of those things and more!

Let’s get to the other degree. Tatiana’s father-in-law used to work for my dad at this very space! His son, who married Tatiana, and I share the same name because my mom and his mom were besties!

The planets were truly aligned for us.

why are we in a car lot?

My dad owned this building for over forty years and he still operates the mechanic side of the business.

We are currently where his old office used to be!

I’m blessed to be able to expand my business into his with a more spacious work area.

If you were ever at Haven Studio 1.0, you know the trials and tribulations.

Now we get to feel safer with gates and no flooding!

why do the nail designs take so long?

Babe,

I’m going to be honest with you.

The level of detail, care and integrity that go into your nails is insane.

Your nails will never be healthier.

Tatiana’s clients come in with these short, frail baby nails and after a few months all I’m seeing are talons.

Don’t even get me started on the nail art. You want “A Christmas Carol” painted on your nails with Kermit looking off into the distance while its snowing?; a Pokémon picnic set?; kawaii chibi set? Say less, sis!

You also don’t have to do any of that and it would be the cleanest french you’ve seen on your nails.

This could be you if you have patience.

If that’s not your vibe and you’d rather go to a nail salon for a 30 minute manicure, you most definitely can mama.

how long have you been doing lashes?

Short story long, my sister taught me how to do lashes because she moved back into town while becoming a caretaker for our mom (i’m adopted).

Instead of finding an artist, she figured it’d be better to have one in house.

Lo and behold, my hands were cool and steady and the journey began in 2018.

And the rest, as they say, is her-story.

what is it like getting lashes done with you?

Mama,

I’m going to change your life.

First thing that is different, the recliner. Gone are the days of you laying on a stiff table for two hours withering away while your lower back is screaming out in pain. The weighted blanket soothes your anxious body and puts you right to sleep as the dehumidifier or humidifier gives you the white noise to quiet your brain.

Secondly, before I put you to sleep I discuss styling with you and pinpoint what look we are trying to achieve. I’m going to be honest, I don’t do well with messy styles. I like my lashes neat and fluffy. I hope that you do too!

Finally, once we’re finished I wake you up and get all up in your business as you admire your lashes in the handheld mirror.
